Welcome offer

It is used once, it expires, and it is the field most likely to have changed by the time anybody reads about it. That is the whole reason this publication files offers rather than featuring them: a page built around a percentage becomes worthless the week the percentage moves, and takes whatever else was on that page down with it.

The headline is also the least reliable number in this market. Ceilings quoted for the same book range across an order of magnitude depending on which code an affiliate is selling, percentages attach themselves to caps no source actually pairs them with, and several books that publish no first deposit offer at all have one attributed to them anyway by sites that never looked.

So the index files four things instead of one: whether an offer exists, what it is, who says so, and what the catch is where a record names one. Where the bookmaker publishes nothing and third parties agree with each other, that is what the entry says, in those words.
