What an edition means

Every page on this domain carries the same date, and that date is the day the fact base was closed rather than the day a template last changed. A rolling last-updated stamp tells a reader nothing about whether anybody looked at the facts, and it moves for reasons that have nothing to do with them: a stylesheet edit, a rebuild, a link fix.

An edition is a promise instead. Everything here was read against the Gaming Commission register and the operators’ own surfaces on or before that date, and where a field could not be established, the cell says so rather than being left to look complete. What this desk has not done
